Synth workshop
About this project:
Synth workshop is a project that pays homage to the history of synthesizers. The idea for this project came to me as I was studying early electronic music and synthesizers. I was particularly interested in vacuum tube technology due to its aesthetic at first, but then the highlight of the project developed into a lighting study.
I then tried to convey a feeling of cold emptiness only through the lighting of the scene, and for the first time ever, I did it consciously.
Then I wanted to add more high tech elements to the scene and focus on those, shifting the focus away from vacuum tubes to computer processors.
The RCA Mark II was the inspiration for the vacuum tube synth in some ways, especially in its functionality. The RCA Mark II could not be played in real time, its music had to be programmed.
